Canon SELPHY CP1500 Wireless Compact Photo Printer – Dye-Sublimation – Wi-Fi, USB-C & SD Card – Black

The Canon SELPHY CP1500 is a compact wireless photo printer designed for producing high-quality physical photographs quickly and conveniently. Unlike conventional inkjet printers, it uses dye-sublimation thermal printing technology, applying cyan, magenta and yellow colour layers before adding a protective overcoat. This produces smooth colour gradations and vibrant photographs with a professional, lab-quality appearance.

With a postcard-size print speed of approximately 41 seconds, the CP1500 is well suited to home photo printing, events, weddings, photography businesses, photo booths and instant-photo applications. It supports postcard, credit-card and mini-sticker formats, as well as square and other supported label sizes. Canon specifies up to 100 years of print longevity under its stated album-storage conditions, while the protective coating helps resist splashes, spills and fingerprints.

Wireless printing makes the CP1500 particularly convenient. You can connect smartphones and tablets using Wi-Fi and the SELPHY Photo Layout app, allowing you to create customised layouts, add text, stamps, filters, pattern overcoats and QR codes before printing. The printer can also connect to computers and compatible cameras through Wi-Fi or USB-C.

The printer features a large 8.9 cm (3.5-inch) TFT colour LCD monitor for convenient photo selection and operation. It can print directly from supported SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards and compatible USB flash drives, giving you several ways to print without relying exclusively on a computer. Its compact 182.2 × 133 × 57.6 mm body and approximately 850 g weight make it easy to move between locations.

IMPORTANT MEMORY CARD INFORMATION

The Get4Less product title mentions CF Card, but Canon's official specifications for the SELPHY CP1500 list direct memory-card support for:

• miniSD / miniSDHC via adapter
• microSD / microSDHC / microSDXC via adapter

CompactFlash (CF) is not listed in Canon's official CP1500 specifications. For accuracy and to reduce customer complaints, I recommend removing “CF Card” from the Jumia title and technical specifications unless you have physically confirmed that the specific unit includes a CF-compatible interface.

IMPORTANT PAPER & INK INFORMATION

The SELPHY CP1500 does not use conventional ink cartridges. It uses dedicated Canon SELPHY dye-sublimation ink/paper sets, where the ink cassette is supplied as part of the compatible print-media system.

Compatible media includes postcard-size, card-size and supported sticker formats.

Photo paper and ink cassette are not assumed to be included unless specifically stated in the seller's package.
