Takes about an hour to charge. Lasts for about 30 minutes. Enough time to get all your minor trimmings done. It has an indicator to show when the battery is full to avoid over charging. The only metal part is the blade. Everything else is plastic. That GOLDEN THING AT THE TOP IS NOT THERE. Little to no skin cuts. The closeness of shave is okay. The amount of hair left after a shave is barely visible. Careful when removing cable from device. The battery may easily come out. I wish there were screws fixing the base in place.
