Problem with the stand hole.

I like the gas cooker except for the stand hole which is smaller hence I couldn't fix the stand. I had to put a wood there instead since the cooker needs ventilation. I think the producers can do better. I will be glad if I can be assisted in case I'm wrong. Thank you
