The Garmin GPSMAP H1 is a next-generation handheld GPS device featuring a hybrid touchscreen and physical buttons, preloaded TopoActive maps, long battery life and rugged durability for demanding outdoor adventures. The GPSMAP H1 has a larger touchscreen (3.5" vs 3") higher resolution display, more storage (64 GB VS 16 GB) and upgraded IP67 Water rating as compared to the GPSMAP 67 Series.

Design and Display

The GPSMAP H1 boasts a 3.5-inch color touchscreen that is sunlight-readable, glove-friendly and covered with chemically strengthened glass for scratch resistance. Its hybrid design incorporates physical buttons alongside the touchscreen, offering versatility in all weather conditions or while wearing gloves. A customizable Quick Action Button allows rapid access to commonly used functions.

Navigation and Mapping

The device comes with preloaded TopoActive maps for regions including North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, while users can download high-resolution satellite imagery via Wi-Fi. Optional Outdoor Maps+ subscription provides ongoing access to premium global map content. Multi-band GPS and multi-GNSS support ensures superior positional accuracy even in dense forests, deep valleys or urban canyons.The H1 support TracBack navigation,waypoints,courses,route sharing and is compatible with the Garmin Explore app for planning and trip management.

Durability and Ratings

The GPSMAP H1 is built for extreme conditions, meeting MIL-STD-810 standards for thermal, shock, vibration, and rated IP67 for water and dust resistance. It features a built-in LED flashlight and loud siren for safety and emergency signaling, as well as ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer, and 3-axis compass) to support navigation and environmental awareness.

Battery and Performance

This handheld GPS offers up to 145 hours in GPS mode and up to 840 hours in Expedition mode using SatIQ technology, which automatically selects the optimal satellite mode for efficiency . The device is powered by a rechargeable internal lithium-ion battery and supports USB-C charger.
