This 8-port gigabit fibre switch converter takes a single fibre optic link and turns it into 8 Ethernet ports. It’s ideal for connecting a remote building, CCTV room, office floor, school block or estate house to your main network over long distances.

How it works:

Main router/switch → B-side converter → one single-mode fibre → this 8-port A-side switch → up to 8 PCs, cameras, NVRs, Wi-Fi routers or switches

(It can also be used at the main site, with the B-side unit at the remote end.)

1. This is the A-side unit. Single-fibre converters work in A + B pairs. You need a B-side gigabit single-mode single-fibre converter at the other end. A ↔ B works · A ↔ A will not work.
2. Non-PoE: this switch does not power IP cameras or phones through the network cable.
3. Fibre patch cords are not included.
