The Hikvision DS-K1T342MFX-E1 is a professional facial recognition access-control terminal designed for offices, businesses, schools, warehouses, commercial buildings and other environments where secure, controlled entry is required. It combines face recognition, fingerprint and M1 card authentication in one compact terminal, allowing organizations to choose a convenient authentication method or implement multi-factor access policies.

At the centre of the system is a 2 MP camera system with a facial recognition range of approximately 0.3 to 1.5 metres. Hikvision specifies a face-recognition duration of less than 0.2 seconds per user and an accuracy rate of 99% or higher. The terminal supports up to 1,500 registered faces, 3,000 fingerprints and 3,000 M1 cards, while up to 150,000 events can be stored for access monitoring and record keeping. It also supports face recognition when users are wearing masks.

The 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen provides a convenient interface for operating the terminal. The device runs on Linux and supports configuration through a web client, while ISAPI and ISUP 5.0 support integration with compatible Hikvision management systems. Two-way audio is also supported when used with compatible client software, indoor stations and main stations.

For installation, the DS-K1T342MFX-E1 provides 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, standard IEEE 802.3at PoE, RS-485, Wiegand, USB, lock output, exit-button input, door-contact input and tamper input. When powered through compatible PoE, the terminal can also provide 12 VDC/1 A output for a door lock, helping simplify single-door access-control installations. A 12 VDC/1 A power adapter is also supported and included according to Hikvision's specifications.
