It's a warmer not a cooker. If you understand that, you will enjoy using it. It's air tight and carries my lunch without spilling. It takes about an hour to get my food to the temperature I need to eat. My only complaint is that, the vendor forgot to add the cable to mine so I have to buy a power cable from an electric shop myself. So far, am enjoying my lunch box. No more eating cold lunch this year
