To keep your ride smooth, keep an eye on the parts that do the heavy lifting:
Check Regularly: Wheels and bearings are wear-and-tear items. Inspect them often.
Repairs: You can extend the scooter's life by ordering spare parts online or visiting a Decathlon Workshop.
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Weight | 6.7 kg |
| Braking System | Rear-wheel drum brake |
| Brake Control | Lever located on the handlebar |
| Folding Mechanism | One-motion trigger system on the tube |
[!IMPORTANT]
The mudguard is not a brake. Unlike some kick scooters, stepping on the rear mudguard will not stop the R500. Always use the handlebar lever.
The R500 uses a "one-motion" trigger system:
Locate the trigger on the tube above the deck.
Activate it to fold or unfold.
Listen for the "click"—this confirms the scooter is safely locked into position.
Gear up: A helmet is always recommended.
The Learning Curve: Most accidents happen in the first few months. Take time to practice controlling your speed and braking in different weather conditions before hitting busy streets.
Is this your first time using a manual folding scooter, or are you upgrading from an older model?
