The all new iS range is building on the successful iSense range which has been in production for several decades. They all operate by disconnecting power to the appliance when voltage levels exceed pre-set parameters whether high or low voltage. Once the device has monitored the power supply and good voltage has returned within the parameters, the Sollatek iS Guards will reconnect. Reconnection is not immediate but occurs once the Guards ensure voltage supply has returned to a stable level. 

The reconnection delay is different for each model to suit the appliance it protects. The FridgeGuard’s delay is 3 minutes to prevent frequent switching on/off which is harmful for fridges/freezers. The Sollatek iS Guard start up delay is intelligent; if the power has been off for a long time, it will reconnect immediately rather than wait for the normal delay.

Each product in the iS range is fully automatic and can withstand extreme high voltages as high as 415 V which means in the event of the normally catastrophic event of loss of neutral, the Sollatek Guards will continue to protect without damage to itself or the appliance it is connected to.
