The 1.5 inches male end connects for Hayward filters, skimmers, and pumps with 1.5 inches female inlet/outlets while the 1.5 inches and 1.25 inches hose adapter end is compatible with hoses that have inner diameters of 1.25 inches or 1.5 inches.

And with a maximum pressure rating of 50 psi, this 2-way ball valve is perfect for filters, pumps, and skimmers.
