The TPA3255 is a high-performance Class D power amplifier chip with Class D efficiency and a circuit that delivers true high-end sound quality The device features an advanced integrated feedback design and proprietary high-speed gate driver error correction PurePath Ultra HD This technology allows the device to maintain ultra-low distortion the audio band while delivering sound quality
Operating in AD mode the device can drive up to two 315W4R loads and two 150W unclipped power8R loads at 15% and features a 2 VRMS analog input interface for seamless connection to high-performance DACs such as TI's PCM5242
In addition to audio performance the TPA3255 also combines efficiency and ultra-low power-level idle losses less than 25W This is achieved through an 85mR MOSFET and an optimized gate driver scheme
This solution provides a significant reduction in idle losses compared to discrete implementations
