Sharpness

The image quality easily falls apart in darker situations. It is however good enough when there's some significant amount of light. Does it mean I will not be able to get low-light portraits with the lens? I guess it does. For the kind of reviews I saw about the lens, I honestly expected better. Not to say the lens is trash. No. But it's kind of limiting
