The back is a backing that sticks to the printer platform and acts as a fixing because it is magnetic and the temperature (suggested from 50 to 80 degrees Celsius) should not exceed 80 degrees.
So it is not suitable for ABS, if it is heated more than 80 degrees, it will lose its magnetism.
