Stevenson Roadline 500 5L - White

Roadline 500 is a quick drying premium quality road marking paint.  It is manufactured in accordance with South African road standards. Suitable for direct application to all types of new or previously painted bituminous and concrete road surfaces.
Specification:

•  Appearance: Low Sheen 
• Color : White
•  Solids Approx.: 72% by mass; 49% by volume 
•  S G at 23ºC:  Approx.: 1,54
•  Flash point:  23°C 

Procedure

• Mixing: Stir thoroughly with a flat paddle
•  Method : Brush, roller or spray 
•  Thinning : Xylene (maximum 5%, only if necessary)
•  Cleaning : Xylene
•  Drying time : No-pick up time:  15min  
• Recoating time :1 hour
•  Dry to handle: 1 hour  
• Type: Solvent based

  
Cautions  

• Not recommended for friable slurry-type surfaces.
• Can only be applied on cured tar, bleeds on fresh tar.
•  Always keep container tightly closed when not in use, since solvents evaporate very fast
•  Avoid painting during inclement weather or if temperature is below 10 °C and above 40°C.  
• Store away from direct sun, heat and severe cold.

 Surface Preparation  
 Surfaces must be clean, dry and sound.  NEW SURFACES For permanent markings ensure that bituminous screeds have cured for a minimum of three months.  NOTE:  Paints applied over bituminous screeds less than three months old or over concrete less than one month old are to be regarded as temporary markings with an expected service life of less than six months.  
PREVIOUSLY COATED SERVICES

•  Remove loose and flaking paint.
•  Remove dirt, grime, oil, grease and other contaminants.
•  Use Fast sugar soap for asphalt/bituminous substrates. 
•  Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and allow to dry.
